Conrad Eurich came to America alone in ~1882 in order to earn enough
money to bring the rest of his family over from Balzer, Russia. After 5-6
years of work in Nebraska, his wife and 3 children made the trip alone
to the U.S. The passport used to leave Russia is shown completely here.
The family background was German, having emigrated to Russia in 1767 under
the colonization program of Catherine the Great's Manifesto.
The following images are pages from the passport that have notations
in both German and Russian.
